I’m Wubshet Tsegaye, and I run Nexoda Tech from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

I test free AI tools — not in a fiber-connected lab with unlimited budgets, but on a mid-range Windows laptop with a 15 Mbps connection (often dropping to 3G). That’s the reality most creators, students, and small business owners actually face, and it’s the reality I test in.

I’m not an AI engineer. I’m a blogger who has built an entire content operation — over 500 blog visuals and dozens of published articles — using nothing but free AI tools. Every tool I recommend is something I’ve used long enough to know where it breaks.

Why Nexoda Tech Exists

Most “best AI tools” reviews are just reshuffled press releases. They talk about features. They don’t talk about what happens when the free tier runs out, when the watermark appears, or when the tool refuses to load on a slow connection.

I started Nexoda Tech because I kept hitting those walls — and when I searched for honest answers, I couldn’t find any.

Every post on this site answers one question: Can you actually rely on this tool for real work, without paying?

I track exact free-tier limits, test under poor internet conditions, and document what fails. If a tool has a hidden restriction, I’ll find it and tell you before you waste your time.

How I Test

Every tool on this site goes through the same process:

  1. Free tier only — No trials, no credit card, no temporary unlocks. If the free plan breaks after three days, I report that.
  2. Real-world tasks — I don’t run benchmarks. I write blog posts, generate featured images, summarize videos, and do the same work you would do.
  3. Network-throttled testing — I test tools on both normal (15 Mbps) and throttled (3G-simulated) connections to verify which tools remain usable for readers with slow internet.
  4. Limit tracking — When a tool has a cap (messages, tokens, generations per day), I push against it intentionally to find the actual ceiling.
  5. Failure documentation — I record every time a tool crashes, throttles, paywalls, or degrades on slow internet. Failures are as important as successes.
  6. Transparency — Every post includes my testing period, hardware specs, and whether I hit any limits. Affiliate links are always disclosed at the top of the post.
